Enorth.com.cn: The Organizing Committee of 14th FINA Women's Water Polo World Cup was set up in Tianjin on the morning of 27th July. The 14th FINA Women's Water Polo World Cup, which is sponsored by FINA and is co-hosted by China Swimming Association and Tianjin Administration of Sport, will be held in Tianjin Swimming and Diving Hall from 8th to 13th Aug.
Women's Water Polo, which became an Olympic sport at the 2000 Sydney Olympic Games, is very popular in European countries.
Participants-Eight teams in two groups: USA, Hungary, Russia, Greece, Italy, Australia, Canada, and China.
The teams are distributed in two groups of four teams.
Groups:
Group A: China, USA, Russia and Greece
Group B: Australia, Hungary, Italy and Canda
It is estimated that about 200 foreigners will take part in this sport event, including 124 foreign athletes, 48 coaches and staff, 28 officers of FINA and judges.
