As for railway transportation, Tianjin is a hub of the railway system connecting many railways, such as Jingshan, Jingha, Jinghu and Jingjiu, etc.. The project of Tinjin Train Station Transportation Hub is the largest comprehensive construction of its kind in terms of scale in China till now. Meanwhile, the Jingjin Intercity Railway, with the promptest operation speed around the world was also in its formal operation, by which you can realize a travel between the two cities of Beijing and Tianjin within half hour. For highway, Tianjin has an expressway net-work radiating the north, southeast, east and northwest of China. The Jing-Jin Expressway, largest in scale and highest in class of this kind in Tianjin till now, was opened formally on 16 July 2008, with eight lanes in two directions. In the city proper, a network of urban transportation has been established, with 3 ring roads and 14 radiating lines as its skeleton.
