On October 10th, the volunteer propaganda activity themed as "Be a beautiful Tianjinese, serve the East Asian Games" was held at Galaxy Square, sponsored by Tianjin Municipal Civilization Office and the Organizing Committee's Executive Board of the 6th East Asian Games. Volunteer representatives proposed to the public to actively contribute to the construction of a beautiful Tianjin, and over a thousand volunteers signed their names to promise to be a beautiful Tianjinese.

On the occasion, volunteer representatives called for citizens' active actions to abide by moral standards and politeness, to practise civility and etiquette's norms on their own account, to observe order in public places, to travel in a civilized manner, to do their own jobs well, to do what they can to contribute to the success of the 6th East Asian Games, to actively participate in such voluntary works as cleaning, order preservation, traffic maintenance, to spread positive energies and advocate new social tendency, and to work hard to be a practitioner and spreader of civilized etiquette so as to make contributions to constructing a beautiful Tianjin and realizing Chinese dream.
