The Chinese Water Ski Association looks forward to welcoming all Federations to the 2005 Vanke World Water Ski Championships at Dongli Lake, Tianjin, China from August 15 to 21, 2005.
ENTRIES
A, INTENTION TO ENTER
Until today we have received the“INTENTION TO ENTER”forms from Austria, Australia, Belarus, Belgium, Canada, China, Chile, Czech Republic, Denmark, France, Germany, Great Britain, Greece, Italy and Switzerland. For other associations, please send the enclosed“Intention to Enter”form to the Chairman of the World Tournament Council, Mr. Bob Corson and to the Chinese Water Ski Association no later than June 15, 2005.
Attention: Rule 2.05 of the IWSF Tournament Rule book reads as follows:
Each Federation shall certify to the Chairman of the Tournament Council and to the organizing committee, not later than 60 days before the scheduled start of the first event of the World Championships, its intent to compete. Any Federation not meeting this requirement will not be allowed to compete until they pay a fine of 200 Swiss Francs to the IWSF.
B, OFFICIAL ENTRY FORMS
The official entry forms for teams and individuals are enclosed. This form must be sent to the Chairman of the World Tournament Council, Mr. Bob Corson and to the Chinese Water Ski Association before August 4, 2005. For late entries a fine of CHF 10.00 per day and skier as per Rule 2.05 will apply.

VISA INVITATION
To issue an official invitation to all athletes, team members, officials, delegates and guests we need to receive from you as soon as possible the following information:
Full name of person
Date of birth
Country of residence
Nationality
Passport number
Fax number where the invitation can be sent.
Please note that your passport must be valid at least 6 months after your visit in Tianjin in August.
With the invitation you then can apply easily for your visa at the Chinese Embassy or Consulate in your country.
TRAINING
The competition lake will be available for training sessions with Correct Craft 2003 boats from July 15 to August 11. Cost per hour is USD 120.00. For information and reservations please contactchwaterski@yahoo.com.cn.
The lake will be closed for all participating athletes on August 12 and 13.
As decided by the World Tournament Council there will be official practice on August 14 and 15. The Chief Judge will arrange practice time for each team. Practice fee is 5USD per 5minutes and person.
ATTENTION: Familiarization will be in reverse order of the Team Overall placement at the Worlds 2003. Teams that did not participate in 2003 will be added at the beginning.Individual skiers have to ski at the same time as their team.
Additional Training can be booked at the Emin Club in Beijing (approximately 2 hours from Tianjin) with MasterCraft 2004 and Correct 2002 boats. Transportation can be provided from the Beijing Airport and from Tianjin by the club. For all information and bookings please contact em3322@sohu.com..
OFFICIAL HOTEL AND COSTS
The official hotel will be the Golden Crown Hotel, a 5 star hotel downtown area (45 minutes from the site). Hotel details are as follows:
Prices including 3 meals per day, airport transport from/to Beijing or Tianjin and transport to the site and official functions as follows:
Single room USD 120.00 per day and person
Double or king size room USD 170.00 per day for 2 persons
August in China is a highly busy time and rooms in the Official hotel will remain blocked only until June 30. You are kindly requested to use the enclosed form for your reservation and to respect the deadline for room bookings of June 30, 2005. Please also note that rooms will only be reserved once the requested deposit of 20% has been received on our bank accounts (see also below)

1) All above are packaged payments (subject to a sum of banking commissions 4.5% if paid by credit card– MasterCard and Visa are accepted), including:

WORLD CONGRESSThe World Congress will be organised on Thursday afternoon in one of the two hotels at Dongli Lake.
HALL OF FAME INDUCTIONSFollowing the Congress the Hall of Fame inductions will take place in the Panorama Restaurant in the tower of the Athletes pavilion at Dongli Lake.
ACCREDITATIONFor the accreditation the Entry forms will be used for athletes and team officials and the hotel

TRANSPORT
The Organizing Committee will provide airport round trip transportation from Beijing (or Tianjin) Airport to hotel(s) if you send in the attached transportation form in due time.
Shuttles between hotels in downtown and the competition site will be arranged during official training and competition.
FINAL NIGHT BANQUET
All team members as per IWSF rules, members of the Jury, Executive Board and World Tournament Council are invited to the final night banquet. Tickets will be on sale during the event for guests and other interested persons for USD 40.00 per person.
