Four Gold Medals Came Out on Aug 20th  2005-08-20 22:45

Aug 20th is the Sixth day of 2005 WWSC. Today four medals will come out, including Slalom Men, Slalom Women, Tricks Men and Tricks Women. William Asher from Britain took the title of Slalom Men which was the first medal of 2005 WWSC.

In the Final Slalom Men, both William Asher (GBR) and his teammate Campbell Glenn (GBR) all have the score of 3 buoys on the 10.25m line. According to the rule, an additional competition should be held between them. After the additional match William Asher achieved the gold medal and Campbell Glenn got the silver medal. The bronze medal was taken by Rodgers Jeff (USA) with a score of 2 buoys on the 10.25m line.

Final Slalom Women came next. Jaquess Regina from America took the title with the score of 6 buoys on the 11.25m line. Both Green Sarah (GBR) and Truelove Karen (USA) have the score of 4 buoys on the 11.25 line. Comparing their preliminary rounds results, Green Sarah (GBR) was at the second place. Truelove Karen got the third place.

Jaquess Regina:Champion of Slalom Women

After the awarding ceremony for Slalom Men and Slalom Women, Final Tricks Men and Final Tricks Women were held. Leforestier Nicolas from France took the Tricks Men title a score of 11860. Zharnasek Aliaksei (BLR) got the silver medal with 11470 points which was the same as his preliminary score. Julio Javier (AGR) occupied the third place.

Women’s Tricks came next. As predicted, Mandy Nightingale (USA) crowned the 2005 WWSC Tricks Champion. Her impeccable performance gained her a score of 7490 points. Judges and spectators all applauded for her great performance. Andriopoulou Angeliki was under enormous pressure but her score of 6710 points was just enough on this occasion to give her a well deserved second place. Briant Michale (AUS) took the third place with a score of 6650.

On Aug 21st, there is going to held Overall finals-slalom, Overall finals-tricks, Overall finals-jump, Finals jump women and Finals jump men. At 7:30 Final night banquet will be opened.
